Our Story
Nestled near the Big Thicket National Preserve in Thicket, TX, Chivoland is a family-operated ranch founded in 2021 with a simple goal — raise good animals the right way, on pasture, with plenty of East Texas land to roam.
We raise sheep and cattle as our main livestock, while our goats do what they do best — keeping the pasture clean by clearing out brush and bushes naturally. It's old-school ranching that just works.
Whether you're looking for quality sheep, cattle, or just want to know more about what we do, we'd love to hear from you.

Our Katahdin sheep are a hardy, hair sheep breed that thrives in the East Texas climate. They're low-maintenance, naturally shed their coat, and are excellent for meat production. Raised on open pasture near the Big Thicket.
Our cattle are raised on lush East Texas pasture with plenty of space to graze. Well-adapted to the local climate and terrain, they're a cornerstone of the Chivoland operation.
Our goats are the ranch's natural land managers. Rather than selling them as livestock, we use them to clear brush and keep the pasture clean — doing the hard work so the land stays healthy for our sheep and cattle.
Our free-range chickens roam the ranch and produce fresh eggs. A small but important part of life at Chivoland — good for the land and good for the table.
